Putting a spotlight on the strategic role HR teams play in organisations – with a brand-new category to recognise sustainable people practices
The people profession’s most prestigious awards programme in Ireland is now open for entry.
The 2025 CIPD HR Awards in Ireland will put the spotlight on the strategic role HR teams play in organisations. The 14 categories have been updated to reflect the current realities of the workplace and the core areas of work of the people profession.
Equality, diversity and inclusion remain a central theme, as organisations seek to remove barriers, overcome bias and leverage data to demonstrate progress and impact. And a brand-new category for 2025 will recognise organisations that are integrating a sustainability lens onto their people practices - emphasising how employees are supported and developed to be ‘net better off’ in terms of wellbeing, security and employability.
To keep pace with change, we’ve revised the SME category (for employers with less than 150 employees) to put the emphasis on how good people management and listening to employee feedback can help to improve customer and employee experience – and contribute to the bottom line.
At today’s launch event, representatives from our expert judging panel, Prof Bill Roche, University College Dublin, Paul Candon, United Hardware, and Niamh McNamara, Salesforce and Chair CIPD Ireland National Committee, offered valuable advice and practical tips on what makes a winning entry. Two 2024 award winners, Bus Eireann and Irish Rail shared inspirational insights from their 2024 award winning stories.
Entries are open from 28 August until 22 October 2024 and the winners will be celebrated at our awards ceremony on 28 February 2025, at the Mansion House in Dublin.
