The inspiring CIPD annual conference in Ireland will start the day hearing from CEOs on their business challenges and the employee experience that the people profession has to deliver for business success. The panel will include the CEO of Musgrave, Noel Keeley, Ireland’s largest private sector employer, and CEO of Clare County Council, Pat Dowling, CIPD award winner in 2023 and 2024. This will be followed by an exclusive interview with Deborah Meaden, highly successful businesswoman and one of the most popular investors on the BBC’s Dragons Den, by Dr. Tara Shine, CEO of Change by Degrees, covering business leadership and sustainability.

Delving deeper, the conference will hear about key challenges of digital transformation, AI and managing sustainable people practices, and Peter Cheese, CEO CIPD, will explore what these trends mean for the people profession.

The conference will also include leadership from a very different lens: an interactive musical experience for the first time in Ireland, delivered under the world-class leadership of the Silent Conductor Steve Barnett.

A key feature of the conference will be the opportunity to participate in a choice of expert-led interactive conversations, covering a wide range of topics such as inclusion, wellbeing, employee experience, technology, hybrid working, skills, and sustainable people practices. Throughout the day sponsors and exhibitors will be showcaseing their thought leadership and services in our networking area.

As part of recognising and learning from the strengths of the people profession, the afternoon will showcase the expertise and impact of a number of CIPD Award winners from 2024. Diversity Champions from Iarnród Eireann and ESB and Rising Star from the National Treasury Management Agency will share their insights on building inclusive organisations. A case study on AI-driven career-pathing and development will be presented by Dr. Gemma McNulty from CarTrawler, the Digital Leadership Award Winners for 2024, showcasing the impact of a collaborative approach that reimagines how to embed performance and talent management in the organisation.

Reflecting on what drives the people profession and career journeys, our final inspiring session will explore personal drivers of HR leaders from eir and Davy, why our profession contributes significantly to the organisation's success and will conclude with futurist Perry Timms summing up how, in practice, we can bring the future nearer.
