Change management is a tricky business, from the "just make it happen" ethos to the rising expectations that long-term cultural change can be “delivered”. The reality is, change is always-on and while stability may provide comfort, it must be balanced with rising globalisation, digitalisation and cut-throat competition. For change management and people professionals, the CIPD acts as the critical partner; there to offer professional standards, enable learning, and provide research that can be used to fuel or build business cases.
