Supporting CIPD members to enhance their professional practice.
Part of being a CIPD member is a commitment to your continuing professional development (CPD). It’s a commitment to improving your practice, and advancing the standing of the people profession.
Like many professional bodies, when you become a CIPD member you agree to uphold the standards of the Institute through your CPD. Our royal charter states that, to use the CIPD designatory letters, members must meet our requirements for CPD which are set out below.
You can find out more about CPD here, and take a look at the CPD cycle here.
To identify your development gaps, you may want to start by using the Self-Assessment tool on the Learning Hub, where you can assess yourself against the CIPD Profession Map standards and get some tailored recommendations for your learning.
