Learn, collaborate and network with CIPD members and people professionals in Kent
A very warm welcome to the CIPD branch in Kent. I feel privileged to have been elected as Chair for the branch as I'm passionate about the people profession, having spent the last 25 years of my career in the field.
We work with a fantastic, enthusiastic committee that brings a wealth of experience across all areas of the people profession and whose commitment sees the branch provide many amazing events, both online and in person. We organise a broad range of events to support you, and our members with opportunities to network and keep up-to-date with the ever-evolving landscape across both operational and strategic HR. We also run a number of special interest groups (ED&I, L&D, Coaching, etc) for those interested in specific areas of our profession.
Sign up for our newsletter to hear about our events and follow our LinkedIn group for the latest branch news.
We look forward to welcoming you to our events, which are free to CIPD members, and if you have any ideas for events, or would like to get involved as a speaker, get in touch. We are keen to cover topics that you want to hear about.

This autumn (2025), we are excited to launch two brand-new groups. Get in touch to find out more, and let us know what other special interest groups you’d like to see in the future.
We recognise that L&D isn’t always as high profile as it should be. So we set up the L&D forum in 2021, open for people who specialise in L&D, have it as part of their role or are just interested in it. This forum meets about two to three times a year.
Launched in 2024, due to the rising emphasis needed to address and support the wellbeing of ourselves as People Professionals and those who we work with and for. This forum covers a whole range of topics, with discussion and meets about three to four times a year.
Launched in 2024, the ODD forum brings together people involved in ODD or those who are interested in this fascinating area. There are speakers and great opportunities to discuss ODD issues with like-minded people. This forum meets about two to three times a year.
The aim of the HR Forum is to create a support network of People Professionals to discuss and share experiences and best practices on HR-related topics. We have speakers on legal and other professional responsibilities, with plenty of opportunities for Q and As. This forum meets about two times a year.
Launched in 2023, the Coaching forum looks at a range of issues to support and further develop current and future coaches. This forum meets about four times a year.
