  • The key legislation covering race discrimination is the Equality Act 2010.
  • The Equality Act 2010 sets out nine protected characteristics. The protected characteristics governing ‘race’ include:
    • colour
    • race
    • nationality (including citizenship)
    • ethnic origin
    • national origin.
