HR professionals in Bahrain are set to gain access to new learning, leadership and networking opportunities, thanks to a new strategic collaboration between the CIPD and the Bahrain Society for Human Capital Management (BSCM).

The partnership, officially announced at a prestigious event in Manama on 6 May 2025, will focus on strengthening the capability and influence of Bahrain’s HR community – enabling people professionals to play a leading role in supporting the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030

Senior executives from some of Bahrain’s most important public and private sector employers – including Injaz Bahrain attended the event, alongside members of the CIPD team.

Supporting Bahrain’s national workforce agenda

By opening up new professional development opportunities, aligned with the CIPD’s international standards for people practices, this new collaboration will boost Bahraini people professionals’ ability to play a leading role in developing a skilled and adaptable workforce, promoting fairness and competitiveness in the labour market and increasing national employment through Bahrainisation

“We are honoured to partner with the CIPD. This memorandum of understanding reflects our shared commitment to advancing human capital excellence and building a future-ready workforce in Bahrain and the region.”

Ahmed AlZayani, President, BSCM

What people professionals in Bahrain can look forward to

A new memorandum of understanding between the two professional bodies outlines a shared commitment to supporting the growth and impact of the people profession in Bahrain.

Together, the CIPD and BSCM are exploring opportunities to collaborate in areas such as:

  • Professional development: expanding access to tailored leadership coaching and training courses on emerging topics like AI in HR.
  • Insight and research: sharing regional perspectives and contributing to evidence-based HR practice
  • Networking and recognition: supporting events that bring professionals together to share knowledge and celebrate excellence
  • Community and policy engagement: strengthening cross-sector collaboration and engaging in dialogue with government bodies on workforce development.

The partnership is in its early stages and will evolve in line with the needs of HR professionals and the wider business and policy landscape in Bahrain.

“Our partnership with BSCM reflects our shared belief in the power of people professionals to lead change. Together, we’re helping our members build the skills, networks and credibility they need to shape the future of work in Bahrain and beyond."
