Learn, collaborate and network with CIPD members and people professionals in Manchester
Welcome to the CIPD Branch in Manchester. With over 5,000 members we have a strong community of people professionals.
We are proud of our diverse city and its history of improving working lives through innovation and social reform. We weave that diversity and innovation into our programme of events each year so that as members, you are receiving the support you need.
Our events aim to provide our members with learning, networking and practical takeaways. We take a member-led approach to what we do, so please get in touch if you have an ideas for future events or get involved directly by volunteering with our branch.
We know that our members use the branch to support their development so we are increasing our focus on career development. This includes a new special interest group for personal development and considering how we can support our student members to be ready for a career in the people profession.
We look forward to seeing you at a branch event or through engagement with our LinkedIn page.

Join our CIPD Student Series to discover the tools, resources and support, with session running every month to help you succeed in your studies and your future career.
Alongside these national sessions, your local CIPD branch offers opportunities to connect with experienced people professionals, attend local events and build your network as you develop in the profession.
Our special interest groups are all about bringing together people professionals who share the same passions, to connect, swap ideas, and learn from each other.
Our standalone HR practitioners’ (private) group caters for employees who provide a single source of HR expertise within an organisation, without the day-to-day support of a corporate HR department. We provide you with an opportunity to explore challenges and share solutions to common problems. Besides offering a knowledge-sharing forum, we also run practical workshops exploring key workplace issues and solutions, facilitated by expert speakers.
You can sign up to the Standalone HR Practitioners Special Interest Group events through our branch Eventbrite page.
