This timetable of employment law changes in the UK is provided for CIPD members. The page captures important legislative change for people professionals. Change can include open consultations, technical guidance, new laws and landmark cases.

The UK Government is undergoing an extensive period of change in the field of employment. This change falls under the plan to Make Work Pay. From this plan, the Employment Rights Act 2025 is the primary Act to deliver these changes. There are also additional bills, amendments to codes of practice and consultations. The Act, and further proposals, are being monitored in a complimentary tracker. The tracker shares advice for people professionals on these changes.
